Salary range –  £23,893 - £25,979 ( £8,286 - £9,009 per annum for part time hours , term time)

Working Pattern Term Time Only

Working hours – 15 hours term time only

 Contract type Permanent

About the Role

 

The Family Information Service is recruiting to the position of Advice Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and busy team that provide impartial information, advice and guidance to families, young people and professionals on childcare options and funding, the SEND Local Offer and services.

 

You will do this through a range of channels including a telephone helpline,

e-mail, social media and on occasion face to face. You will also support early education providers to manage their information online to enable regular monitoring of childcare sufficiency. You may also be asked to support the service with minute taking and other administrative tasks. 

 

Ideally you will have experience in an advice and guidance role or similar. Experience of administration, databases and online systems is essential, alongside excellent organisational and communication skills.

 

You should possess strong customer service skills with the ability to deal sensitively with difficult situations and the ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Additional Information

 

You will have flexibility in terms of hybrid working at home and in the office, with your contracted hours being worked during school hours, which will be in agreement with the manager and subject to business need and operational priorities.
