Salary range –  £41,418 - £44,428 (Band 9)

About the Role

We currently have an exciting vacancy within IT & Digital service which will enable us to continue to build on our success and bring new experience, knowledge and ideas into the team.  As the IT Finance and Contracts Manager you will be a critical member of the team who takes responsibility for the monitoring, review and reporting on our Services financial positions, for both capital and revenue budgets.   You will also ensure that the correct recharges are made to internal/external services to ensure income is collected in a timely manner.  You will work closely with our Heads of Service and project leads to support and oversee the procurement of all digital/technical products and services, ensuring the correct procurement procedures are followed.  Part of this role will be to support contract negotiation processes and you will manage the suppliers to ensure as a service we are getting value for money and the best out of our contracts.  This role will also have line management responsibility of a small team who are the hub of our business and finance support to the service.

 

 

About you

You’ll be able to demonstrate experience in managing budgets of significant amounts and undertaking reconciliation processes ideally for an IT Service, with experience/knowledge of high-value contracts and local government financial and procurement procedures.  You will be experienced in managing and developing staff, an organised individual, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

 

You will implement effective processes within your team and the wider service to ensure we are robust in providing financial management and supplier/contract management for our IT & Digital solutions.  You will have a keen eye for accuracy and can work at pace, with the ability to work to deadlines.
