 Location - Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Road, Stretford, M32 0TH – (hybrid working is possible)

Salary range –  Career Grade Band 6-8 , £30,151 - £38,296 per annum

Working Pattern –  Full Time

Working hours – 36.25 Hours per week

About the Role

We currently have an exciting vacancy within our team to help us to identify and prioritise needed strategic and local infrastructure in Trafford and assist its delivery through capturing and maximising planning obligations (S106) and the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).

As the first point of contact for infrastructure planning in Trafford, you will be responsible for implementing and managing an effective S106 and CIL system for financial and non-financial contributions secured through both S106 agreements and CIL payments.

At the upper end of the career grade, your input and expertise will also be invaluable in identifying and prioritising the infrastructure needed to deliver strategic development needs, assisting with the Local Plan preparation as well as any infrastructure levy review.

Applicants must have an HNC/HND/degree qualification (or equivalent) in the built environment/town planning or equivalent. You will have 1-2yrs experience of working in a similar environment, using administrative or financial processes and systems and an awareness of the planning system and planning legislation and policy in relation to CIL and planning obligations.

The Infrastructure Planning function sits within the Strategic Planning and Growth team, which is part of the Growth, Communities and Housing Service; based at the recently rebuilt Town Hall in Stretford, and you will report to the Principal Transport Policy Officer. A flexible hours and working policy is in place and some unsocial hours working is required on occasions.
