Principal Educational Psychologist and Head of Inclusion 
Salary – £63,323 - £67,061 per annum
Salary Grade – Soulbury Senior and Principal scale B range 12 to 15 (plus 3 SPAS dependent on the experience of the candidate – maximum point 18 - £70,850 per annum)   
Working Pattern – Full time 36.25 per week
Closing date – Thursday 29th April 2021 at 23.59pm
Interview date – Early May 2021

About the Role  
Trafford Council are looking to appoint a Principal Educational Psychologist and senior manager to lead and manage the Inclusion Service, as we continue to improve the strategic development and delivery of services for children and young people (0 to 25 years) with special educational needs and disabilities.  

About you  
We are looking for an experienced senior manager to provide dynamic leadership to SEND in the borough. You will be someone who can develop and drive improvements to our SEND & Inclusion offer, with rigour and at pace. Working in partnership with children and young people, their parents and carers, partners, settings and our communities, you will share our ambition that children and young people with SEND are fully supported to aspire and achieve. You will provide sound operational management of services and help shape strategy to continue to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND and their families. You will have proven experience in meeting service objectives including through high level planning, target setting and financial monitoring. You will have had opportunities to innovate and inspire a team whilst being able to delegate and problem solve and have had experience in a wide range of performance management processes.  

We are looking for someone who has: ·      
Experience and a successful track record of leadership with a particular expertise and understanding of services for SEND and vulnerable pupils ·      
Evidence of successfully managing an Educational Psychology service or equivalent role ·      
Proven experience of providing direction and clear vision to those we work with to ensure service excellence.    Evidence of the ability to provide effective and visible leadership to a team of professionals ·      
A proven track record of delivering functional improvements, including experience of planning and financial management ·      
Experience of working with schools, health providers and social care to assess and develop plans for children and young people with SEND
